Jack cannot sleep at night. His mind is still reeling from Jenny's rejecting him and his decision to pursue the "practical" degree of accounting instead of his passion of creative writing. Furthermore, Jack now only eats to survive, getting by on cheap junk food. Jack's body and mind begin to rapidly deteriorate as his situation exasperates.
lyrics
Night after night it happens
I know it'll never change.
I get those endless cravings
I get those hunger pangs.
No matter what I'm eating
Just falls straight to the floor.
And now my stomach's turning
I must be running to the store
to get some more....
(Chorus)
Gotta find a way,
Find a day to rest.
Gotta find my wings,
Find something to spread.
Night after night, it happens,
It always hangs around.
My head is always buzzing
With noise I can't turn down.
And now my body's restless -
My heartrate's bound to soar.
Although my thoughts are spinning
I must be running to the store
To get some more....
Chorus
Go light
Go light
Go light
Go light - don't spread yourself too thin.
Don't mix whiskey and Ambien.
